6 Big Updates From Cross Builds This Quarter

This quarter, Cross Builds grew in every direction: a new launch, new ground broken, new plans under permit, new training for our team, and a first look at commercial construction. Here’s what we accomplished, and where we’re headed.

CROSS BUILDS Q3 2026 QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER

New Opportunities. New Training.
New Ground.

Great companies grow through the people behind them. Q3 was a quarter of milestones for our projects, and of learning for our team.

01 — Development Update

New Turnbow Villas Officially Launches

New Turnbow Villas is officially here. This 6-unit development is built around a simple idea: purchase the property, occupy one unit, and generate rental income from the other, all while building toward something bigger than a single home.

It’s the kind of plan that pays back twice, once in shelter, and again in equity. The sooner you start planning, the more impact you can make.

CROSS BUILDS

Live in one. Rent the other. Build toward tomorrow.

02 — Development update

Boy Street Breaks Ground

Months of planning, collaboration, and hard work just came together for that first turn of the dirt. Boy Street has officially broken ground, and it’s a milestone we’re proud to share.

Now, the real work begins. We’re looking forward to watching Boy Street take shape and continuing to grow with the Noblesville community for years to come.

03 — PROJECT UPDATE

Two New Projects on the Horizon

Under Permit

New Barberry Fourplexes

Something new is coming. Cross Builds is introducing plans for New Barberry Fourplexes, a development now under permit. It's the next step in turning plans into progress, and we'll share more as the project moves toward groundbreaking.

Entering Permitting

St. Louis Landing

Our pipeline keeps growing. St. Louis Landing is now moving into the permit process, with construction planned for the first quarter of 2027. More details to come as plans take shape.

04 — Team & Training

Building Stronger: Our Team Takes On FORTIFIED Builder Training

Growth at Cross Builds isn’t measured only in units and groundbreakings. It’s measured in what our team knows. This quarter, our team took part in FORTIFIED builder training.

FORTIFIED is a voluntary construction standard from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety, focused on building homes that are better prepared for severe weather. For a Houston builder, that knowledge matters.

CROSS BUILDS

New training means new opportunities, and better homes for the families who live in them. Our team. New skills. Stronger builds.

05 — Company milestone

Cross Builds Goes Commercial

Every builder has a moment where the work stretches beyond what people expect of them. For Cross Builds, that moment is here.

This quarter, our team spent time on site at a Flaherty & Collins Properties commercial development, getting hands-on exposure to what commercial-scale construction looks like up close. It’s a first step for a team that has always believed good building is good building, no matter the scale.

More to come as we continue exploring this next chapter.

CROSS BUILDS

We broke ground on a neighborhood. Then we broke into a new industry. Same quarter, same team.

06 — Market Report

Houston Ranks No. 4 Nationwide for Housing Affordability

The market we build in earned national recognition this quarter. Houston landed at No. 4 in Realtor.com’s first-ever Metro Affordability & Homebuilding Report Card, which ranks the 100 largest U.S. metros on housing affordability and new construction. Houston earned an “A” grade, one of only ten metros in the country to reach the A range.

The report looks at how affordable housing is for residents today and how well new construction is keeping pace with future demand. Houston scored especially well on homebuilding, with a permit-to-population ratio nearly 88 percent above the national average. In short, Houston isn’t just affordable, it’s building enough new housing to stay that way.

Median household income in Houston sits at $78,845, against a median listing price of $363,106. As Realtor.com chief economist Danielle Hale put it, “homebuilding and affordability are inseparable.”
